Position Overview:

We are looking for a Machine Learning Research Scientist who knows a lot about Speech to Speech. You will work on improving our translation systems using large language models (LLMs) with millions or billions of parameters.

Responsibilities:

• Make our translation systems better with new machine learning methods and models.
• Create and use LLMs for speech-to-speech translation.
• Work with other teams to apply your research to real problems.
• Analyze data and find ways to improve system performance.
• Keep up with the latest research in machine learning, language, and speech.
• Share your research with others through publications and presentations.
• Teach and guide junior researchers.

Qualifications:

• Have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Have experience with LLMs with millions or billions of parameters.
• Have done original research in machine learning, especially in speech-to-speech translation or similar areas.
• Know how to use Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other languages for machine learning.
• Know how to use deep learning models like RNNs, transformers, and CNNs.
• Know how to use statistics and optimization for machine learning.
• Have published your work in top conferences or journals related to machine learning, language, or speech.
• Be good at solving problems, adapting to changes, and working in a startup environment.
• Be good at communicating your ideas and research clearly.

Target Comp:  Base salary $180,000/yr - $230,000/yr + Benefits, etc.
